How They Started Their Business
Both a mother and wife, Silvia Ladero & Glenda Millan established the Del Mar Swim Boutique originally as an online store. Shortly after they found their physical location on Orange St, Palm Harbor. They both meet in a networking group at the Palm Harbor Chamber of Commerce and connected through their love for fashion.
In-store they carry various swimwear styles from the top brands, beach apparel, and accessories for women. Silvia and Melinda are committed to finding clothing that women can feel comfortable in and is flattering to their silhouette. As they bring their chic cultural diversity to the Palm Harbor Area, surely each of their European and Latin American vibes will leave their customers happy.

Challenges in Starting a Business (especially online)
Surely, every business owner who survived the pandemic had the same story of how their business was tested. Reaping success from their resilience, both Silvia & Glenda knew that the pandemic was just another business challenge they can surpass. With logistics being barred and shipments being delayed they had to find ways to keep their business going.
Aside from the troubles imposed by the pandemic, it was surely a big challenge to bring woman’s swimwear into the market. With a lot of selections online, Silvia & Glenda capitalized on the story that their pieces bring. They also made sure to find quality ones that stand out and that are never repeated.
Even though they both had prior experience in business, they still admit that building their backend, admin and logistics were their first few challenges in their business.
Future Goals and Mission
While they surely love selling swimwear, Silvia & Glenda want to expand their business to something more encompassing. With enough funds, they want to venture into handbags, accessories, and other women’s apparels. Therefore making Del Mar Swim Boutique a one-stop for every woman’s fashion needs.
They also want to make sure that alongside expanding, they still maintain the same smiles that their customers bring when walking out of their store. It’s all about the experience and expanding your comfort zone to find something you truly enjoy with Del Mar Swim Boutique.

As usual, just like our past guests, both are enamored with the beauty of Palm Harbor and had a hard time picking one place. .
However, upon careful deliberation (not to miss out on any spot). Ozona Blue Grill is on top of their list due to its good food, ambiance, and proximity. BarFly Safety Palm Harbor is also a good recommendation for a laid back vibe and live music.
